Winter Wonderland

Honestly, I am so ready to hibernate while watching the forecast for the next few days.

Even though it took a while for NY to get really cold like usual this year, once the real cold hit NY, I was like "I'm done. Wake me up when spring comes."

2015 was supposedly the record breaking hottest year. While I really don't mind having warmer weather, it also concerns me about many, many things such as rise of sea levels, abnormal frequency of hurricanes and endangered of animals.

Maybe it's time to go back and re-read my older post about conserving energy.and Ryan Gosling.

Anyhow, while we could be buried in snow in the East Coast, there are some brighter things I can love more because it is winter.

1. Hot Chocolate.

I mean, really. Who wouldn't like hot chocolate in the winter?

I don't really like hot chocolate in the summer or any other season but isn't it winter survival 101?

...with Marshmallow? Yes please.

2. Ramen.

This could just be "food" in general but ramen. 

Nothing sounds tastier than a bowl of hot noodle in the winter to me.

Comfort food to me is typically more appetizing during the winter.

Luckily, we have a few really good ramen restaurants in NYC and I am craving one now just writing this..ugh, can someone deliver for me now please?

3. Absolutely hideous outfit...

Now, this is not quite what it sounds but is more of a result occasionally.

This happens to me because I would layer waaaaay too many clothes during the winter.

I do it only because I hate to be cold and usually I layer them a lot more than I am probably  supposed to so normally I end up looking like a bulky Tofurky sausage. But I could care less if I looked like an empanada when it's -6c degrees out where nobody gives a damn about my outfit. And I kind of love waddling around like a big balloon as long as I am warm.

And speaking of layering, Pigeon Dynamite loves the layering too.

It's the Valentine's Day season-also my favorite winter event, as many girls too ;)

We just need to arm up our jewelry collection and dress up our fingers!

もうほとんど冬眠する気な私ですが、日本の皆様御機嫌いかがでしょうか。

日本とNYは何でか天気が良く似ていて、こちらも週末は大雪、大寒波と言われています。

正直もう冬眠したいです。

今年はいくら暖冬だったとはいえ、一旦真冬モードにスイッチが入ると

容赦なく寒いNYの天気で、いつも通りな1月になりました。

でも去年はそれでも一年を通して記録を破る最高気温の一年だったそうです。

地球温暖化が本当なんだと身を以て感じた年でした。

私はあったかいのは全くもってウェルカムなんですが、

でもやっぱり異常気象による影響が世界中で見られるなど、本当にこれからの地球の事を考えてみんなで何か行動を起こさないとと思いました。

過去のブログでも読み返してしまいましたね。

 （別にライアンゴスリングが見たかった訳じゃ。。）

 そんな中、冬にも良いところがあります。

例えばココア（アメリカではホットチョコレートと言います。）が美味しい。

マシュマロなんか浮かべて飲むと一気に幸せな気持ちになれます。

（書いてて単純だな私。。と気づく。）

後ラーメンも美味しい季節ですね。鍋物とか。

寒くないとそんなに食べたいとも思わないですよね。まぁラーメンは結構年中食べれるけど、でも冬一番美味しいと思いませんか？

温泉とかも良いですねー。書いてて日本人だなつくづくと思います。。

ニューヨークは幸いな事にも美味しいラーメン屋さんがあるっちゃああるので（高いけど）食べたくなったら行きます。でも美味しいとことかはやっぱ並ぶので、本気で食べたいとならない限りあんまり行かないですが。←微妙に説得力を失ってますね。。

で、あとはレイヤー。レイヤリングだけは好きとか嫌いとかじゃなくて、

しないと無理ですね。寒すぎて。

冬だからこそ許される着込みすぎてブックブクな自分を鏡で見てしょっちゅう笑っています。私って楽しい人間なんだと思われるのかな。。

でも本当、外がマイナス6度とかになるともう誰も服の事なんて気にしてる人は（多分）居ないはず。。なのでそのぶっくブクのまま上からコート着て歩くコーンドッグみたいな事に。。何が何だか分からないけどあったかいから私はどうでも良いんです。

みたいなのが結構好きです。
