Image: http://www.scpr.org/blogs/ multiamerican/2013/06/10/ 13939/in-immigration-news- reform-debate-hits-senate- floo/ Yesterday was such a bright day to be in America. I am not trying to be political here but I'm not afraid to say that I do believe everyone has a right to love a person whether he or she is gay or lesbian or straight. Since I am a person who legally married an American, I've been always concerned about how DOMA was affecting not only American gay couples rights but also the immigration law among these couples who married American citizens legally in some states but  not recognized by the federal law to waive their immigration status  to stay with their partners in America. The step to become a legal spouse to an American citizen as a foreigner isn't particularly easy but it is pretty straightforward.  USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) initiates all the steps for foreigners to become permanent residents and

Wow, I am a bit surprised this is already my 3rd post.  I know it's not such a number to be surprised by, but knowing myself enough  this is pretty impressively consistent. Sorry but it is. So thank you for coming back, and for those of you who don't have a clue you could read my 1st Post or go to the links below. My design studio portfolio   Click "Like" if you haven't!    this is a rough sketch I did for my "house renovation" assignment in school some years ago  and ended up doing an acrylic paint of it for my partner later on. So, I guess it's been already over 4 full months since I started my  Pigeon Dynamite and  I cannot thank enough for the people who have supported me and have continuously been supporting me. I've been very fortunate to have such a wonderful support to do what I love to do. I just sometimes wish that I had taken business in school though I am learning everyday. Come to think of it, I always

Something new of old

For some time now, having the term "vintage" has been one of the major keywords to attract people on internet. The term became so popular in last five years or so; in fact, it is so competitive that the competition rate goes sky high once the term "vintage" is used on Google search or Etsy for the items. "Vintage Furniture," "Vintage Engagement Ring," "Vintage Clothes," everything vintage. Even there are apps such as Instagram that can make your Saturday brunch Bloodymary look like you drank it in the 70s.   So, obviously, finding my Pigeon Dynamite on Google or Etsy just by typing "vintage" and "jewelry" is just as hard as counting leaves of trees in a mountain.    Top regions of the search word "vintage" are the US (100pt), UK (92pt) and Australia (88pt). (Japan scores 6pt in the chart, however this is because I assume the number of people who use Google search in Japan and in English are re

So it's started...

Hi. This is Rie from Pigeon Dynamite. I've decided to start a blog here to make my official Pigeon Dynamite blog post besides 4,5 other sites I have. (I'm such a blog whore!) For those who never heard of Pigeon Dynamite, it's a jewelry brand that I started in Brooklyn, NY.  It's a one of a kind, custom made vintage jewelry.   I think it's easier for you to check one of the links below. My Etsy Site. Facebook Page Oh by the way, I am from Osaka, Japan.  Rie is rather a common name in Japan but my name seems to give people here so much trouble pronouncing it. It pronounces more like "LeEh" but I should just go by John at Starbucks. I'm so tired of spelling out my name politely "R as in retard, I as in idiot..." But thanks to former Yankees baseball player Matsui, my last name has been rather familiar for New Yorkers.  When I just moved to NY from CA, I told the UPS guy that's my brother as he asked me if I were related.  H
