PD's Happy First Anniversary!



Yes, yes...thank you, thank you!
Last year, on February 10th, my shop Pigeon Dynamite officially opened on Etsy.
It's been a great year ride and I wanna say thank you to all who have supported and been supporting.
I started with just three items on the site, and within a month I received my first order.
I had a Japanese site for the Japanese customers as well but it was very limited due to the numbers of items I could post, so I kept it minimal. But still people wanted to buy and contacted me through Facebook page so I sold items in Japan by moving the items from main site to the Japanese website.
Custom orders are always fun and exciting.
Making something special for a client, or their special person gives me a kind of joy that I never knew.
It could be challenging but luckily I never failed to make my clients happy.
There is some big news coming up for Pigeon Dynamite and I cannot wait to share with you all!

 Official Pigeon Dynamite Blog is going to be irregular update from now on.

たくさんの方たちに応援して頂いて、ここまでやってこれました。本当にありがとうございます！

For some reasons, I've been looking at Yayoi Kusama's work again recently. It's probably unnecessary to explain who she is since her collaboration with Luis Vuitton in the past that helped a little bit making her a world famous Japanese contemporary artist like Takashi Murakami. Almost Autumn

Autumn is my absolute favorite season besides spring (but probably even better.) Summer is great, even now I don't live as close to the beach as I used to in San Diego (15-20 min drive to any beaches..sweet!) here in NYC, summer is still fun and inspiring. But it's just fall is so much more to me. The color deepens, the food tastes better, air is crisper, coffee feels more comforting and I feel more creative and productive. It's like the pigments of every colors I see outside become more vivid and it's almost too beautiful and I cannot take it. Luckily the fall in the northeast gives the best part of my favorite season compared to what it did in SoCal which was a lot more muted. I remember the colors of Nara in the fall when I visited last year.   Even though it was passed the best time of their leaf watching season, it was still magnificent. Questions to Be Answered

I have a confession to make-it's been a very difficult time for me to come up with new jewelry ideas in the last several weeks. And this might just sound I am making an excuse but since I know exactly why, I thought that I would make a post on this.  Besides my current move of my workspace, there's been just too much sad news that are giving me such a hard time to be creative and productive. (If I was working for a Japanese company, I'd probably be fired right away.) I could not possibly write a blog after just one post last month. Why on earth the airplane needed to be shot down?
