Christmas is the time of the year when I feel the happiness in the cold air.

Because Christmas is approaching, I do not mind the cold. Not as much.
Because Christmas is near, I even put play list in Pandora or Spotify the tackiest Christmas songs as I write this post and don't feel uninspired.
Because Christmas is around the corner, pine needle scent smells extra wonderful.

Almost Autumn

Autumn is my absolute favorite season besides spring (but probably even better.) Summer is great, even now I don't live as close to the beach as I used to in San Diego (15-20 min drive to any beaches..sweet!) here in NYC, summer is still fun and inspiring. But it's just fall is so much more to me. The color deepens, the food tastes better, air is crisper, coffee feels more comforting and I feel more creative and productive. It's like the pigments of every colors I see outside become more vivid and it's almost too beautiful and I cannot take it. I Wanna Be Buried in Dots

For some reasons, I've been looking at Yayoi Kusama's work again recently. It's probably unnecessary to explain who she is since her collaboration with Luis Vuitton in the past that helped a little bit making her a world famous Japanese contemporary artist like Takashi Murakami. As far as I can remember, the first time I saw her work in person was at the NY Armory show in the city many years ago. I remember looking at her sculpture of this flower, just instantly felt that I love her work without a thought. Ever since, we've had some of her work exhibitions in NYC, but what I remember the most of her work is from the exhibition I went in Osaka even before these events in NYC. There were just so many of her work in Osaka city museum. Her famous "Pumpkin" sculpture. You can find this at Chichu museum in Naoshima, too. I am hoping to visit in near future. Questions to Be Answered

I have a confession to make-it's been a very difficult time for me to come up with new jewelry ideas in the last several weeks. And this might just sound I am making an excuse but since I know exactly why, I thought that I would make a post on this.  Besides my current move of my workspace, there's been just too much sad news that are giving me such a hard time to be creative and productive.
