Happy belated New Year! Pigeon Dynamite had a wonderful year last year; we had public sales TWICE with F.A.D. weekend , photographed by Tiffany Chen and featured in Urban Watch, and launched the official website . Through my jewelry business, I've met so many talented, strong women who have visions that inspired me so much. To me, last year was the year of empowering women. Many were entrepreneurs and they share their voices and ideas and always encourage each other to make best out of the situations. The words like "woman" or "feminine" or "girly" used to be one of those words that I felt somehow uncomfortable to be categorized in or labeled as. Growing up, pink was the color that I hated the most. I refused to wear anything in pink, or had lace around the skirt or sleeves. Having two older sisters who were not particularly "girly" (but rather "scary" or "terrifying" to me since they are much older,)

I know it's been, again, a long time since the last post! It's been quite busy, happily, and finally I found the "in between time" during the production, so I decided to write out the blog post this time. As many of you may know now that I came from interior design/architecture background. I used to love post modern architecture and still do, but as I get older, I started to appreciate classical architecture more. This is probably more to do with my own personality but I tend to be pretty much "black and white"on many things; I know almost immediately whether I like or not. I've started to learn how not to sort of reject everything that I dislike. (Honestly, though I still cannot really find attraction on those antique Gothic furniture..)  Hi all, I know it's been a while. To keep it short, Pigeon Dynamite is more energized and got more powerful in concept in design. I took a much needed break and came back with some exciting news! New York-London based web magazine that is coming this year featured Pigeon Dynamite 's jewelry pieces!! It's a special report from Brooklyn! Flea markets are no stranger to New Yorkers. We LOVE flea markets. Every season, there is the new pop - up, hip e vent happening any neighborhood of Brooklyn. New Yorkers are naturally spoiled for cool event s .  We always die to look for the hottest flea market event in the city. And this season, it is f. a. d. weekend ! There have been already many press talked about this event, such as downtown brooklyn , and brownstoner . 22 Boerum Place Brooklyn, NY   (my lazy exterior shot) It's in the downtown Brooklyn, the area where you can find everything from Shake Shack (my fav e!) , Macy's, Sephora, Starbucks to local cool supe r highly curated boutiques, organic small coffee shops, trendy vintage furniture stores and etc. It's the neighborhood where not just tight pan ted fancy hi psters can enjoy ; super family friendly, baby strollers are welcomed .    And I needed to go check out myself to see

This blog post is very, very special to me because... It's Pigeon Dynamite's FIRST custom wedding bands and the couple kindly allowed me to interview and share their experience. The rings are both 14k gold but they wanted in different gold; Kevin wanted his to be yellow gold and Paul was white gold. At the first initial meeting, they briefly told me what they like, and what they don't like. Since I knew Paul from the design school years, I understood his design preference and what his style was right away; he wanted something has little more unique twist with heavier texture. On the other hand, Kevin prefers something simpler but same tone of organic style.  They brought the basic requests like Kevin wanted something thinner with yellow gold and Paul wanted bit of uniqueness in design in white gold.
